Vibratory sieves provide a gentle classifying mechanism for sensitive materials and are suitable for both gravity and in-line operation. Product enters the sifter by means of controlled product metering, direct to the sieve screen. The material is separated into throughs and overs with the particle size separation depending on the aperture of the screen. Particles too large to pass through the screen, called overs, pass over the screen until they are rejected into the over’s container. Particles passing through the screen are generally the desired product but the sifter can be changed if required, to reject fines from the product.
Separation of products as fine as 0.25mm can be achieved with ease. Various screen cleaning devices can be incorporated including sliders and balls.
